What is Aromaflex?

Aromaflex in a new therapy designed by Viv Tipper, which incorporates the use of Aromatherapy Essential Oils with Reflexology.

In the past, if you wanted to incorporate aromatherapy into your reflexology routine, you would first need to take a qualification in general massage. Only then would you be able to move onto an aromatherapy course. This was very frustrating for those of us who knew that we would only every use our aromatherapy with reflexology. Viv Tipper, who is qualified both as a reflexologist and an aromatherapist ca me to our rescue and invented Aromaflex.

How long is the Course?  

The course is five weekends over one year. There will be an assign ment after each weekend, and between the fourth and fifth weekends you will be required to complete ten case study treatments. On the final weekend is an exam.

What does the course cover? 

The course covers the use of essential oils in reflex cream, foot massage, topical, blending, as well as almost 50 essential and carrier oils.

Course Dates

This course is run every three years and will run in 2010. The following dates have been agreed:- 

Module 1:        March 27th and 28th 

Module 2:        May 1st and 2nd

Module 3:        July 24th and 25th

Module 4:        October 2nd and 3rd

Module 5:        Dec 11th and 12th

Course Location

The next course will be run at the Hilldene Centre in West End, Southampton. Just 5 minutes from junction 7 of the M27 and with ample free parking this venue is easy to find. It is also easy to reach using public transport from both Southampton Central, Southampton Airport Parkway railway station and Hedge End Railway station.

What Commitment Does this Course Require?

This professional course does require commitment from students. After each weekend there is an assignment and there are a small number of case studies to be completed.

Course Assessment

The course will be assessed both by a written examination.

Who is this course for?

This course is for qualified reflexologists who wish to add a new dimension to their treatments.

Cost of Training

The cost of the course is £640. A deposit of £100 is required to secure your place.

Additional Costs

In addition to the course costs the student wills also need to purchase essential oils for their own use.
