Facial reflexology incorporates reflexology techniques, Mama pressure points as well as using lymph drainage techniques. Taking inspiration from many of the historic Facial Reflexology maps, but combining this with modern reflexology knowledge, this is an of the moment therapy. Using a single reflex face map, it is quick to learn and easy to interpret which reflex you are working.
This FHT Accredited treatment is really a pleasure to give as well as to receive.
This is an ideal course for you to add to your Reflexology practice as it can be carried out in on your Lafuma or Massage Couch. Facial Reflexology is also useful for broadening out your client base as it will appeal to people who do not like to have their feet touched, and to those clients who like the feeling of facials but want a treatment which uses less product.
You will be taught the routine using Neal's Yard aromatherapy facial oils, Frankincense, Rose and Orange Flower (Neroli) which I think add a touch of luxury to the treatment but it is absolutely fine to use plain oil, or if you are an Aromatherapist you can produce your own blend.
This mainly practical course will concentrate on the different techniques used in the routine, learning to find the reflexes, and how to put the whole routine together. During the course I will take you through carrying out a full facial reflexology treatment, which also covers some work on the neck, so as well as giving a treatment, you will understand exactly how it feels to receive it.
We will also look at a brief history of Facial Reflexology as well as the differences in contra-indications, contra-actions and aftercare advice.
