Calming Influences is a complementary therapy school, offering an FHT accredited diploma in aromatherapy as well as many CPD courses for reflexologists, massage therapists and aromatherapists.
Calming Influences was established nearly 25 years ago and although initially offering all face to face courses, now offer blended course, marrying face to face with online working. Providing an online learning platform which allows students to prepare for their courses, complete any workbooks they need to and video clips allow them to finess their practical techniques. Being able to re-play sessions has definate benefits for students. We also make extensive use of live Zoom sessions.
Over the last 25 years we have built up an extensive knowledge and materials base which has been incorporated in our new student learning platform, the Hosting Hub. We are making the Hosting Hub available to other schools, and individuals who would like to offer online, or blended courses. The Hosting Hub, is a platform which will allow you to put your own courses online, and make them available to everybody on the internet. Whether you've longed to share your expertise through a specific course or are in the process of establishing your own holistic school or academy, this announcement is for you! We are based in Bursledon, Southampton, just 5 minutes from junction 8 of the M27 but we attract students from around the country, both in person and online.

Above you can see Calming Influences very first group of reflexologists. We are pictured celebrating accreditation with the AoR. I am standing centre. (I look a little different now - see my photo below!). Above right you can see the GreenHouse room which is where our main teaching sessions are carried out but we also run small courses from my home treatment room.
