This Level 3 qualification is an ideal first course if you are considering becoming a therapist and contains everything you need to practice Indian Head Massage as a fully insured therapist.
Indian Head Massage is also a great therapy to add to your portfolio if you are already a therapist. If you are already a qualified therapist with a valid anatomy qualification, talk to Jackie@calminginfluences.com about the qualified therapist course.
Indian Head is a very easy therapy to get into because it does not require you to invest in a lot of equipment. You don't need a special couch or chair and because Indian Head Massage can be carried out with the client fully clothed, you can literally do it anywhere.
The course contains the following modules:
History of Indian Head Massage
The course is delivered using a mixture of face to face and remote sessions.
2 days practical
Online activities including videos and Zoom Calls
The 2 days practical will cover contra-indications, to ensure you are able to treat safely, as well as the full Indian Head Massage routine. Additional material, such as the history of Indian Head Massage, Health and Safety and Anatomy and Physiology will be covered using videos.
This course is also available as a Just for Fun weekend, for those who would like to practice on friends and family, or just find more information about this relaxing therapy.
To complete the qualification, you will need to complete case studies, evidence workbooks and a practical assessment.
You will be required to complete:
15 case study treatments
Indian Head massage, health and safety and customer care workbooks
3 practical assessment to be completed once case studies and workbooks have been accepted
Certificates will be issued by Calming Influences.
